​American Express is hiring for its 12-month paid Apprenticeship Program within the Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) division across its Gurugram and Bangalore campuses. This program provides early-career professionals and recent graduates direct exposure to how advanced data analytics, machine learning, and product management converge to protect the global Amex brand. Working within one of three core tracks—Data Stewardship, Strategy & Analytics, or Product Management—apprentices will actively support the development of scalable, data-driven fraud detection and credit underwriting capabilities. The daily scope ranges from automating reporting workflows to monitoring product lifecycles and tracking risk-exposure trends.

​Requirements:

• ​Must have completed a full-time Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a quantitative discipline, including Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or related fields.
• ​Strong baseline analytical skills with an aptitude for translating raw datasets into actionable risk-mitigation insights.
• ​Foundational knowledge or hands-on academic exposure utilizing SQL for database querying, Python for data manipulation, Excel for auditing, and Power BI or Tableau for constructing executive dashboards.
• ​Basic familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ETL data pipelines, robotic process automation (RPA), or machine learning concepts.
• ​A foundational understanding of financial services, banking operations, credit scoring, transaction fraud risk, or regulatory compliance standards.
• ​Proven ability to communicate findings clearly and work productively within fast-paced, cross-functional team environments.
